Our Specialities

Income & Capital Gains Tax
The Government and the HM Revenue and Customs have instituted and enacted many reforms on the subject of the anti-avoidance of tax. However, we use proven schemes that have been disclosed to, or approved by, the HM Revenue and Customs. Some schemes allow individuals to have investments that can be offset against their income tax they have, or, will be paying in the current tax year. For the self-employed, and partnerships, this can have a significant impact on future cash flow.

We are able to utilise:-

  • Income tax in the current tax year (minimum of £100,000 higher rate earnings).
  • Capital Gains Tax up to three years previously, or 12 months in the future.

Inheritance Tax
Inheritance Tax has become a significant contributor to the Treasury in recent years. The main reasons being aggressive changes to Trusts and their taxation, a deliberate policy of degrading the allowances overtime and, unfortunately, public ignorance.

Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning can be very complicated, but we are able to reduce IHT to a minimum very quickly. This planning is also available to those who hold a Power of Attorney for an elderly relative.

Tax Efficient Investments
We will always endeavour to wrap the investments in the most tax efficient vehicles. This may include using Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), Venture Capital Trusts, Children's Trusts and Offshore Bonds. We regularly research the best providers for each structure, and will provide this information before any investment is entered into.

Commercial Property
This asset class in recent times has become very popular, and we have the experince of investing in syndicates for over ten years. Commercial property is very different to investing in residential property. The value of the property is derived by the rent (paid by a known tenant) being divided by the yield. With current interest rates being low, the syndicates gear up the investment so that much of any future gains are derived from the repayment of this debt. We carefully select the properties and tenants that fit in with our investment philosophy.
